Being a floral designer is a rewarding career. It’s a creative outlet to express yourself using botanicals as your medium.
What is the average pay:

What job opportunities can I find as a designer?
Independent flower shops, Grocery stores and event florist are always looking for experience designers to work for them. Stylish Blooms, our sister company is always seeking freelance designers. Once you complete our course, you'll have the opportunity to work per diem with Stylish Blooms for the 2021 season. The next few years will be busy for shops to accommodate the events that were rescheduled due to covid.
Why should I learn with the flower lab?
With over 22 years of design experience, our innovative hands on approach, allows you to experience first hand what it is like to be a designer. Being able to practice as you learn helps to reinforce your new skill set and gain valuable experience. Shops look for designers who have experience and knowledge of the industry. We will give you the tools you need to get your foot in the door and make a great first impression.
Is my fee refundable?
Fees are not refundable but can be transferred to another student. We will support your learning anyway we can. Zoom classes will be an option if the lab is closed due to covid or inclement weather.
What should I expect?
Expect to learn a ton and have fun! As a designer you should also expect to stand for the majority of the design lab. Standing gives you greater range of motion and helps to be more efficient when designing. Because buckets of flowers can get heavy, you should be comfortable lifting up to 25lbs.
What If I miss a class?
We will have a week for makeup classes. If you can't attend a class, we can zoom you in or reschedule your lab to another day. We will be here to support your learning.
